Store Manager
Job Summary
Pet Evolution is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to lead our Shoreline store. At Pet Evolution, "Our mission is to help pets live the good life by providing the highest quality food, treats and grooming services."
As the Store Leader, you will reflect our company mission in everything you do. This position is performed under direct supervision of the store owner and or designee.
You must be passionate about helping pets, serving customers and providing superb customer service, and you must be capable of inspiring coworkers to do the same. Must be caring, compassionate and sincerely share our values. Must be disciplined, have a drive to succeed, and the interpersonal skills required to lead others in our supportive style. We also look for the capability and willingness to think quantitatively, manage specific sales outcomes, and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Self-awareness, empathy, good social skills and a strong drive for achievement are the keys to success at Pet Evolution.
Qualifications and Skills
Associates and/or bachelor's degree in business administration or related field is desired
3+ years of retail supervisory and or management experience
Point of sale knowledge
Strong understanding of sales and customer service
Ability to work within a defined budget
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
Supervising and leading team members (Wellness Associates, Groomers, Bather & Mobile Nal Van Technicians)
Providing leadership and training to ensure all team members consistently uphold Pet Evolution’s customer service standards in every guest interaction
Inspiring and motivating the team to foster a positive and enjoyable work environment
Overseeing day-to-day operations, including the effective management of controllable costs to maintain profitability
Managing inventory and ensuring optimal inventory control
Planning and executing in-store and community outreach events throughout the year
Setting clear and concise expectations for team goals
Offering coaching and conducting one-on-one sessions, reviews, and monthly team meetings
Handling the recruitment, hiring, and training of new employees
Taking charge of staff scheduling and related responsibilities
Enforcing store policies and procedures to maintain consistency
Assisting in directing sales in alignment with the company’s philosophy and established procedures
Overseeing the opening and closing of the store, performing daily reconciliation, managing cash handling, and bank deposits
Preparing month-end and quarterly sales reports
Addressing personnel issues within the store and providing necessary support
Maintaining the store’s appearance to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
Monitoring and reporting on store performance
Managing product procurement and maintaining accurate inventory control
Engaging in product merchandising to enhance the shopping experience for customers
Training: We offer an extensive training period that aligns with both Corporate and Franchisee standards.
Physical requirements: You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
