Come join a diverse and inclusive team that believes in providing excellent customer service and recognizes that its greatest asset is its employees.Pay Rate: $25.00 per hourM-F, 2nd Shift (2p - 10pm) / 40 hours per weekSa / Su, PM Shift (6p-6a) / 24 hours per weekEssential Job Responsibilities:Emergency ResponseRespond to medical emergencies and provide care in accordance with Basic EMT certification and local/industrial protocolsStabilize patients and coordinate transfer with local EMS agenciesParticipate in standby rescue operations as designated (e.g., confined space standby rescue)Produce high quality, written documentation Fire Safety & PreventionConduct fire and life safety inspections across the facilityEnsure fire extinguishers, alarms, and suppression systems are secure, accessible, and compliantIdentify and document fire hazards, including blocked egress, ignition sources, and improper storageSupport hot work oversight and verify proper permitting and fire watch practices Safety Compliance & ReportingCommunicate hazards and safety concerns to supervisors and client safety personnelComplete incident reports, inspection logs, and daily activity reports accurately and promptlyParticipate in internal and external audits and provide meaningful safety observations beyond checklist compliance Equipment & ReadinessInspect, maintain, and document readiness of medical, fire, and rescue equipmentEnsure emergency vehicles and response gear are operational and stockedMaintain familiarity with facility layout, hazards, and emergency access routes Team & Professional DevelopmentParticipate in ongoing training, drills, and certifications relevant to industrial fire and rescueSupport team readiness and knowledge sharing and hold oneself accountableMaintain EMT licensure and required continuing educationOperate within scope of training and actively communicate when tasks exceed training or equipment capability Critical CompetenciesStrong situational awareness in dynamic, high-risk environmentsAbility to identify unsafe conditions and communicate effectively across departmentsDecision-making under pressure with incomplete informationProfessional assertiveness in safety-related situationsHigh integrity regarding compliance and patient care standards Work Environment & Physical RequirementsIndustrial manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, chemicals, and confined spacesExtended periods of standing, walking, and climbing ladders as well as working at high elevationsAbility to lift and move patients and equipment (100+ lbs)May require extended shifts (12-16 hours) and overtime Important Role ClarificationThis position supports but does not replacethe client's Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) authorityRescue operations are performed within the limits of training, equipment, and legal scope Qualifications & RequirementsCurrent National Registry EMT certificationCurrent Alabama EMT-B certificationAbility to pass DOT Physical and Drug ScreenCurrent American Heart Association BLS certificationMinimum 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license requiredReliable transportation and means of communicationBasic to intermediate computer skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to remain on your feet for extended periods and perform frequent walking, standing, and movement throughout the shift, including routine patrols and moderate physical activity in all weather conditions.
