Title: MES EngineerLocation: Northridge, CAWork Requirements: US CitizenSkillset / Experience: The MES Engineer will design, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes and MES solutions for space-based and terrestrial products. This role supports high-mix, low-volume (HMLV) production environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams—including Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, IT, and Safety—to integrate MES, ERP, and PLM systems. The engineer ensures efficient, high-quality production execution while enabling traceability, data analytics, and process improvements. Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain MES workflows for assembly, integration, and test operationsCreate digital work instructions, operator interfaces, and data collection formsConfigure master production routers/plans and user roles/permissionsImplement change management, version control, and real-time production supportArchitect integrations between MES, ERP, and PLM systems, including work order synchronizationTrack labor, material consumption, inventory, and production confirmationsDesign automated workflows for approvals, quality checkpoints, non-conformance, and SPC monitoringBuild traceability systems for serialized components and assembliesDevelop dashboards, KPIs, and reports for OEE, throughput, FPY, and cycle timesAnalyze performance data to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvementSupport root cause analysis, debug control systems, and enforce compliance with aerospace quality standards (AS9100)Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field3+ years developing manufacturing systems for space or semi conductor hardware3+ years technical leadership in setting up facilities and operations3+ years developing operations control processes and documentationExperience with satellite communications payloads, spacecraft buses, or related subsystemsPreferred Qualifications:Strong ownership, urgency, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and leadership capabilitiesExperience coordinating engineering, lab, and supply chain resourcesTechnical lead experience managing small engineering teamsAerospace or defense manufacturing backgroundERP integration experience, IoT shop floor data collection, Python/SQL/JavaScript knowledgeSix Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Manufacturing Engineering certificationFamiliarity with HMLV production environmentsAbout INSPYR SolutionsTechnology is our focus and quality is our commitment.
