VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
POSITION: Director of Accountability and Quality
LOCATION: Central Office
REPORTS TO: Assistant/Associate Superintendent
QUALIFICATIONS: Expertise with computer systems and applications; knowledge of
NC Testing Program; knowledge of and expertise in utilizing
quality tools and methodology. Master's degree in Education or
related field that provides the knowledge and skills to successfully
perform the job.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate all aspects of testing, to include:
Establishing the annual testing calendar
Receiving and providing for the security of testing materials from the Department of Public Instruction
Supervising the development and implementation of secure and ethical procedures for the administration of tests required by state and federal accountability system
Collaborating with administration and curriculum staff on the development, reviewing results of testing programs, including state testing programs, Federal accountability requirements, and local benchmark assessments; assists with the evaluation and interpretation of testing data to administration and staff as needed
Preparing reports of testing results for schools and the Board of Education
Reporting test results to schools and to the Board of Education
Conducting training on test administration
Conducting training on use of test information for improvement of instruction and student performance
Upholding testing ethics
Keeping abreast of testing regulations and information
Conducting other duties as necessary to ensure that testing is conducted accurately and with integrity
Using state and commercial software packages (word processing, spreadsheet, database) to produce additional reports
Working with other departments in the development of evaluation and survey designs to collect data for departmental projects (Benchmarks)
Fulfilling data requests and answering questions for schools and other appropriate audiences
Utilizes PDSA and other quality tools to improve district performance
Coaches other departments on the use of quality tools
Oversees SACS/CASI district accreditation process
And other duties assigned
