Job Title: Mechanical Project ManagerLocation: Richmond, VASalary Rate: $120,000 - $14,000Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, and client satisfaction. This role is responsible for building strong relationships, driving project performance, and ensuring successful execution from planning through completion.Primary ResponsibilitiesFoster and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and key vendors; promote strong morale on the project site.Collaborate with internal departments including Pre-Construction, Sales, Safety, and Purchasing-as well as client personnel to:Develop and manage comprehensive construction plans and schedulesEvaluate vendor proposals and procure equipment and materialsSelect subcontractors and issue subcontractsProvide direction for fabrication scheduling and related activitiesMonitor daily project metrics such as manpower, material deliveries, and equipment needs; mentor site leadership to ensure timely, on-budget, defect-free, and incident-free project execution.Prepare, track, and manage project budgets; report key performance indicators to senior leadership.Identify scope changes, prepare pricing, and submit change order requests to clients.Develop and implement recovery plans when projects face challenges related to safety, quality, or production.Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and organizational success.Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in engineering and 7-10 years of project management experience, or an equivalent combination of technical training and hands-on experience.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques.Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while following written and verbal instructions.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs.Ability to pass a post-offer drug screening and any required background checks (e.g., DMV, criminal history).Commitment to adhering to all company policies and procedures.Availability to work assigned schedules, including extended hours, evenings, and weekends as needed.
