This role involves leading efforts to support a distinguished faculty through all aspects of the academic personnel process, from hiring to tenure and promotion, and executing strategic academic planning for the growth and review of academic programs. The Provost will also be instrumental in developing academic policies and managing the academic enterprise within a framework of shared governance. Applicants for the Provost position at the company should have a proven track record in academic and administrative leadership, with a deep understanding of the academic enterprise and a commitment to the values of a research-intensive institution. The role requires a leader who can effectively manage the affairs of the academic enterprise, ensuring that the institution's teaching, research, and service missions are met with the highest level of quality and impact. A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field is typically required, along with a strong background in strategic planning, program development, and academic policy.
