Senior Power Electronics EngineerOn behalf of our client, a fast-moving defense technology company building flight-critical systems for advanced flight vehicles, we're hiring a Senior Power Electronics Engineer with 3+ years of experience to design and own power systems and power electronics boards. You'll join a small, elite avionics team where engineers personally make hardware work, not just manage requirements or provide oversight.This is a high-impact role where you'll own meaningful subsystems on the vehicle, from initial design through bring-up, debug, validation, and integration into production. Defense experience is not required; we value hands-on circuit design talent from aerospace, automotive, robotics, or any hardware-rich environment.What You'll DoDesign power electronics PCBAs including motor controllers, DC-DC converters, inverters, power switches, and power distribution systems for current and future flight vehiclesOwn the full lifecycle of your hardware, from schematic design through bring-up, debug, validation, and production integrationDefine your own requirements and figure out the overall power system story in a system context; there are no separate systems engineers, you own it end-to-endWork on high voltage and high current power systems for actuators, power filtering, and power bus sizing for mission-critical avionicsPotentially support ground systems power electronics alongside flight hardware developmentWhat We're Looking For3+ years of experience in power electronics design, from aerospace, automotive, robotics, or any hardware-rich environmentStrong background in PCB design and hands-on bring-up, debug, and integrationExperience with DC-DC converters, inverters, motor controllers, or power distribution systemsExperience with high voltage and high current power system designProficiency with Altium, SPICE, and MATLAB/SimulinkComfortable owning full technical scope independently, without a dedicated systems engineering functionRole DetailsSalary: $150K–$200KLocation: Torrance, CAFull-timeCompetitive equityNot open to visa sponsorship (US citizens and Green Card holders only)Hiring 1–2 candidates for this role
