Strategic Marketing Development Manager (Milford)

Job Overview:The New Market Development Manager is responsible for identifying, validating, and developing new market opportunities within industrial, manufacturing, automotive and agriculture sectors. This role drives growth by expanding the company's products & capabilities into new applications, customer segments, platforms and end markets. This position works closely with all cross functional teams to translate market insights into scalable, profitable growth.Duties and ResponsibilitiesMarket and Opportunity Development Identify and evaluate new markets, applications, and customer segmentsConduct market sizing, competitive benchmarking, and customer segmentation analysesAssess market attractiveness, technical fit, and manufacturing feasibilityDevelop data-driven business cases and market entry strategiesCustomer & OEM Engagement Lead customer discovery with EOMs, Tier1 and Tier2 suppliers, integrators, and distributorsUnderstand customer technical requirements, qualification processes, and decision criteriaSupport RFQs, early-stage design, pilots, and validation programsBuild long-term relationships with key customers and partner stakeholdersGo-to-Market and Commercial Strategy Partner with Sales and Marketing to define value propositions, pricing strategies, and channel approachesSupport Marketing with development of sales tools and application-specific messagingAlign launch timing and commercialization plans with production readiness and customer timelinesCross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with New Product Development and Engineering teams to translate market needs into product requirementsCollaborate with Operations and Accounting to access scalability, cost structure and capacitySupport APQP, PPAP, UN, UL approval process when applicableFinancial & Performance Management Develop revenue forecast, cost models, and ROI analyses for new market initiativesTrack pipeline development and conversion to production programsIdentify all areas of risk and recommend mitigation strategiesKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesFamiliarity with quality and certification requirementsStrong analytical and strategic planning skillsProven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authorityExcellent communication and executive-level presentation skillsHigh comfort level engaging with cross functional teams and executive stakeholdersExperience launching products into regulated or safety-critical environmentsEducation and ExperienceBachelor's in Business, Engineering, Marketing or related field5-8+ years experience in market, business or product development and strategic planningDemonstrated experience in B2B industrial, manufacturing, automotive or ag marketsProven experience supporting technically complex products and long sales cyclesWhile performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.The employee regularly is required to walk, climb or balance, and talk and hear.The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
