Research And Development Technician (Tracy)

Position: Research and Development TechnicianPay Rate: $25.00 - $30.00 /hourlyLocation: Tracy, CASchedule: 1st ShiftJob DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented R&D Technician to support product development and production trials within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for executing sample runs, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and compliance with quality standards.The ideal candidate has experience in food manufacturing, QA, R&D, or production support, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with precision.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare and execute sample runs, including batching, scaling, and coordination with productionTrack labor and materials during trials and record real-time data (yields, times, temperatures, deviations)Package and prepare samples for shipment and maintain inventory of shipping suppliesAssist with customer presentations, product demonstrations, and plant toursManage inventory of raw materials, ingredients, and department suppliesCreate and maintain recipes, batch sheets, spec sheets, product labels, and item setupsEnsure all formulations and documentation are accurate, complete, and audit-readyMaintain version control including change logs and archived documentsOrganize and maintain digital files in accordance with SOPsSupport the R&D Supervisor and cross-functional teams as neededCoordinate trial readiness by aligning materials, documentation, and production timingFollow all R&D safety protocols and company policiesMonitor communications, prioritize workload, and respond to inquiries efficientlyIdentify potential issues and proactively provide solutionsAssist team members as needed to support overall operationsQualificationsExperience in food manufacturing, QA, R&D, or production support requiredStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesStrong organizational and documentation skillsEffective communication and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to follow SOPs, safety guidelines, and company procedures
