Artesia offers small-town hospitality, Southwestern landscapes, and outdoor recreation — ideal for travel nurses seeking professional growth and a vibrant community experience.Job Requirements / QualificationsMinimum 3 years of recent Med/Surg and Telemetry RN experience required (Medical-Surgical RN / Telemetry RN) PCU/Stepdown experience a plus Active RN license (New Mexico or multi-state compact) BLS and ACLS certifications required Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips and use Mindray cardiac monitors Experience titrating drips (insulin, amiodarone, levophed) and managing invasive monitors Comfort with intubation support and respiratory equipment management First-time travel nurses encouraged to apply Completion of required onboarding modules prior to start (approx. 20 hours; compensated up to 6 hours)Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for Medical-Surgical and PCU patients Monitor and manage patients with invasive lines, drips, and telemetry—Telemetry RN duties Read and interpret telemetry using Mindray cardiac monitors and respond appropriately Maintain intubation readiness and assist with respiratory equipment as needed Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including nurse aides and respiratory therapists Perform AccuChecks, assist with patient ADLs, transfers, and transports Document clinical care accurately in TruBridge - Evident (CPSI) electronic charting system Participate in unit orientation, ongoing education, and support scheduling needs including holiday rotationsSchedule & UniformNight shift: 12-hour shifts (7pm – 7am) Weekend requirement: Every other weekend Holiday rotation: May be required Dress code: Navy blue scrubsReady to take the next step in your travel nursing career?
