Specializing in attitude control design, the full-time GNC Engineer will design and implement spacecraft attitude control architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop modular, mission-agnostic solutions, and supporting on-orbit system performance analysis and anomaly resolution, with the flexibility to work remotely or from San Jose, CA.
Key responsibilities
Design and implement attitude control architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment
Define requirements for ACS algorithms and related systems, including roadmap development
Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific performance and support on-orbit systems
Required qualifications
PhD or Master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent plus 2+ years of professional experience, or extensive hands-on experience with GNC analysis and design
Proficiency in C++ programming
Knowledge of control and optimization theory
Experience with LEO platform attitude actuators and sensors, including reaction wheels and star trackers
Expertise in numerical programming environments such as Python, Julia, or MATLAB
