The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing automotive glass on various vehicles, ensuring the highest level of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This position comes with most glass tools, uniforms, and a company vehicle.This is a full-time opportunity that works during the 8:00 am - 4:30 pm time frame, Monday through Friday. The Auto Glass Technician will report to the Glass Manager and pay will commensurate with the chosen candidate's experience.Essential Job FunctionsInspect and assess damaged auto glass to determine appropriate repair or replacement techniquesRemove damaged windshields, side, and rear windows using proper tools and safety protocolsAccurately install replacement glass using urethane adhesive and ensuring proper fit and sealRepair small chips and cracks to prevent further damage and maintain structural integrityExplain procedures and recommendations to customers, ensuring they understand the work performedMaintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintainedFollow all safety protocols and industry standards to ensure the safety of customers and team membersMaintain a safe and satisfactory driving record according to company policyOther duties as assigned by supervisorMinimum RequirementsA minimum of two (2) years of experience in the Auto Glass industryMust be 18 years of age or olderHigh school diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workPrior technical schooling or training related to the automotive field is preferred, but not requiredValid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a background and credit checkPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift or carry large and heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)Standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods during service tasksCharacteristics SoughtGood communication skills to interact with customers, employees, and vendorsMeticulous attention to detailSelf-motivated and strong work ethicAbility to work independently without supervisionDisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
