Project Manager – Rail Infrastructure
EPMA is supporting a leading environmental services organization in hiring a Project Manager to lead rail infrastructure and capital construction projects within their Rail Division. This role is responsible for delivering complex projects across rail yard facilities, track systems, and industrial environments — ensuring execution is safe, compliant, on time, and within budget.Title – Project Manager – Rail InfrastructureType – Long Term Contract Location – Houston – Onsite (Travel required to various sites)W2 Employment onlyResponsibilities:Manage full lifecycle delivery of rail infrastructure and capital construction projects (concept through commissioning)Oversee projects involving rail yard development, track systems, and heavy industrial facilitiesCoordinate with engineers, contractors, rail operators, and regulatory agenciesDrive budget management, scheduling, cost control, and change ordersLead onsite construction execution, ensuring safety and quality standards are metEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and rail-related safety standardsProvide regular project updates to senior leadership and stakeholdersQualifications Required:5–7+ years of project management experience in construction or capital projectsExperience in rail, transportation infrastructure, heavy civil, or industrial environmentsProven ability to manage projects end-to-end (design, permitting, construction, closeout)Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety standards, and regulatory complianceExperience managing budgets, schedules, contractors, and multiple stakeholdersProficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Procore, or similar)]Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related fieldPreferred Qualifications:Direct experience with rail infrastructure, rail yards, or transportation projectsPMP, CCM, or LEED certificationExperience managing multiple concurrent large-scale projects
