SummaryThe Training Specialist will work interdepartmentally to determine training needs for each program withinthe Center for Alcohol & Drug Treatment. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and deliveringtraining to programs in collaboration with Director of HR, Director of Compliance and Information, and/or HRGeneralist when applicable. They will also work with programs to identify training needs, creating engagingcontent, and implementing effective training.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesTraining Delivery:Present engaging and interactive trainings sessions for employees at all levels. Utilize a variety of instructional materials, making use of multimedia tools, to accommodate different learning styles. Coordinate and schedule training sessions to get maximum attendance. Determine training needs with programs in collaboration with Director of HR and program leads. Determine specific skills gaps and areas of improvement. Development:Design and develop comprehensive training plans for each program. Using both in-person and training software as appropriate. Create training materials, including presentations, handouts, etc. Feedback:Quarterly receive feedback from attendees in an anonymous fashion to determine effectiveness of training. Receive feedback regarding engagement and interactive to improve delivery. Documentation:Maintain records of training completion and attendance as necessary. Provide training records to HR Generalist for record keeping. Obtain and record any training held internally by programs and provide records to HR Generalist. Grant Support:Assist Director of HR with applications for grant programs related to training and development, such as the Dual-Training Grant. Assist Director of HR with tracking information related to grant objectives and reporting requirements for any awarded grant related to training and development. Qualifications One year of experience in implementing and delivering training to large and small groups is required. Associates degree is requiredPreferred in HR, Business, or related fieldStrong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Proficiency in training software & multimedia toolsPreferred experience with Relias & Mineral training platforms. Must be able to provide CPR & First Aid training and certify results with staff members. Must be able to provide onsite trainings to staff members and travel to different program locations. Must pass a background check issued by the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
