MEDICAL BILLER/INSURANCE COLLECTIONS

Job Description Medical Biller· Utilizes strong communication and customer service skills· Consistently practices good judgment and problem-solving skills· Prepares and submits clean claims to the insurance either electronically or via paper· Verify insurance using inhouse and/or third-party software· Work with internal staff to assist with verification of insurance, collection of balances, and self-pay fees· Assure coding is compliant and up to date· Assists with the monthly patient statement process, to include reviewing statements before mailing and field any inbound and/or outbound patient inquiries· Assure that front end and back-end rejections are resolved· Maintains strict confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulationsInsurance Collections· Utilizes strong communication and customer service skills· Consistently practices good judgment and problem-solving skills· Follow up on denied and/or no response claims from payers· Issues adjusted, corrected, and/or rebilled claims to payers· Initiate appeals to payers following the payer guidelines· Verify insurance using inhouse and/or third-party software· Work with internal staff to assist with verification of insurance, collection of balances, and self-pay fees· Assure coding is compliant and up to date· Reviews accounts and makes recommendations regarding uncollectable accounts· Assists with the monthly patient statement process, to include reviewing statements before mailing and field any inbound and/or outbound patient inquiries· Assure that front end and back-end rejections are resolved· Maintains strict confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulationsCompany Description 2901 Coral Hills Drive, Suite 360, Coral Springs, FL 33065 Company Description 2901 Coral Hills Drive, Suite 360, Coral Springs, FL 33065
