Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (Acute Care/Trauma)
About the Job S eeking an Advanced Practice Provider for our trauma and acute care surgery service. We are an accredited Level I trauma center in Southern California with 24 hours of in-house trauma surgeons and APPs. Job Responsibilities: The role of the APP is autonomous, dynamic, and fast-paced, with functions of clinically managing trauma and acute care surgery patients through the continuum of care. Rounding, completing discharges, seeing new surgical consults, and responding to the traumas in the ED Incorporate independent decision-making abilities and collaboration with rotating resident physicians, attending surgeons, subspecialty consultants, and a multidisciplinary team of experts Performs all job functions with sensitivity and attention to the age and developmental milestones of the population served which include adult and geriatric Attend the surgical clinic every Wednesday to evaluate post-operative patients with a census ranging from 10 to 12 patients Job Details: Work title: Acute-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Department: Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Division Position type: Full time Shift length: 12 hours, 7 am - 7 pm Shift type: Day Base Pay: Commensurate with experience
