Employees may perform other related duties as needed to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:Operate Heavy equipment to support the construction of exploration drill pad sitesOperate Heavy equipment to support the construction of various projects around the siteOperate Heavy equipment such as track dozer, water trucks, haul trucks, backhoe, telehandler, skid steerResponsible for understanding changes to assigned work areas and any potential hazardsResponsible for understanding equipment components and practices that reduce component damage and wearMay perform minor maintenance activitiesBuild / Maintain new and existing exploration drill pads throughout siteWork on various small earthwork projects around the siteWork with the training department to help train new operatorsHelp with various other projects as neededMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:High School diploma or GEDThree years' experience in the Mining industryTwo years' experience operating heavy machinery building roads/ pads /earthwork projectsAbility to achieve Caterpillar certification for operating a backhoe, water truck, and tractorAbility to operate Heavy EquipmentAbility to work & multi-task in a fast -paced environmentStrong work ethicAbility to work in extreme outdoor weather conditions – temperatures may exceed 100 degrees FahrenheitAbility to lift 50lbsCan move over uneven terrainAbility to work up to a 12-hour shiftMaintain a drug and alcohol-free workplaceHave reliable personal transportation to the site location (transportation at the site will be in company vehicles)Possess a valid Driver's LicensePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Current MSHACurrent Caterpillar certificationsNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
