This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.In this role, the engineer will have the opportunity to develop high-quality software solutions that drive innovative projects forward. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, they will contribute to the delivery of robust and scalable products that meet the needs of clients. Additionally, the engineer will play a key role in the testing process, ensuring that deliverables adhere to the highest standards of quality and performance. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.Position Responsibilities:Collaborate with teams to understand software requirements and design objectivesPropose, design, and implement software solutionsDevelop, document, and maintain software architectures, requirements, designs, code, and automated testsParticipate in code reviews and design discussions, contributing to continuous improvementBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):2 or more years of professional experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada1 or more years of experience with Agile software development lifecyclePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer scienceAbility to Obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance – Final Post-Start Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with Git and CI/CD pipelinesAbility to research and solve fundamental problemsExperience leading complex software projectsSkills in developing, documenting, and maintaining software architectures, code, designs, and automated testsAbility to break down functional requirements into well-defined tasksWillingness to learn new skills through on-the-job training and experienceCodeVue Coding Challenge: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process.
