SRE Engineer- Remote, Only W2

Role: SRE Engineer (OpenStack ) - RemoteExperience: SRE / OpenStack Platform / Private Cloud OperationsTime zone: ESTLocation: On-site candidates who can work in ESTMust-Have (Non-Negotiable) Strong Linux, Networking & Storage fundamentals Linux internals, kernel tuning (RHCE-adjacent), filesystems, partitions Storage: LVM, SCSI multipath, Ceph basics, IO troubleshooting Networking: DHCP, DNS, VLANs, bonding, basic routing, tcpdump/traceroute OpenStack Services Operations & Troubleshooting Hands-on experience managing and triaging OpenStack services (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone)Production issue troubleshooting, RCA, customer-facing debuggingGood to Have / Learnable Kubernetes - Basic understanding of pods, services, and cluster concepts (deep expertise not mandatory) Monitoring & Observability - Fundamentals of metrics, alerts, and logs (Grafana / Prometheus ecosystem preferred) Automation - Basic scripting in Python or GoRole ExpectationsTroubleshoot complex platform issues in customer OpenStack/Linux environmentsParticipate in incident management, RCAs, and on-call rotationProactive system monitoring and performance tuningCollaborate with engineering on fixes, PRs, and platform improvementsClear communication with customers over calls and written channelsNote: Linux / Openstack Certifications are desirable / not mandatory
