Job Title: Senior Engineer - Building Enclosure Job ID: 87562 Location: Oakland, CaliforniaOverview: As a Senior Engineer, you lead complex and technically demanding projects with confidence and minimal oversight. You are a trusted technical authority within the practice, serving as a reviewer, mentor, and key contributor to client success. In this role, you strengthen client relationships, support financial and project performance, and contribute to the development of junior and intermediate staff. You balance deep technical expertise with leadership, collaboration, and responsible stewardship of projects and the company.What you will be doing:Lead building enclosure investigations, condition assessments, design reviews, and rehabilitation projects with minimal oversight.Conduct and oversee field reviews and performance testing; analyze findings and recommend corrective actions.Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to assess risk and develop durable, code-compliant solutions.Develop repair strategies, technical details, specifications, and contract documents aligned with best practices.Serve as technical reviewer and provide guidance to project teams to ensure quality and constructability.Manage project financial performance, including scopes, budgets, and key administration tasks.Strengthen client relationships and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.Mentor junior and intermediate staff while fostering collaboration, safety, and responsible project stewardship. What you must have:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Building Science, or Architectural Science from an accredited university6+ years of relevant experienceProfessional Engineer (PE or P.Eng.), or ability to obtainStrong experience in building science principles, enclosure systems, codes, and construction practicesTechnical expertise in building enclosure systems and performance evaluationAbility to lead complex projects with financial accountabilityStrong mentorship and coaching capabilityClient relationship management and business development acumenAdvanced problem-solving and critical thinking skillsClear, persuasive written and verbal communicationCollaborative leadership across multidisciplinary teamsStrategic and systems-level thinkingEmotional intelligence and conflict mediation skillsCommitment to continuous improvement and responsible stewardship Salary/Rate Range: $117,000 - $150,000+ depending on experience Other Information: Salary is dependent various factors, including qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
