Ameriwell Care is Hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)!Ameriwell Care is looking for compassionate, dependable, and energetic Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.As a DSP with Ameriwell Care, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while helping individuals build independence, participate in their communities, and work toward their personal goals.ResponsibilitiesAs a Direct Support Professional, you may:Provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesAssist with daily living skills and increasing independenceSupport community outings, recreational activities, shopping, appointments, and social activitiesHelp individuals work toward goals outlined in their Individualized Service Plan (ISP)Encourage choice, independence, and community participationProvide companionship and positive, person-centered supportAssist with personal care when required by the individualProvide transportation to community activities when applicableComplete required service documentation and daily notesFollow all safety plans, behavioral strategies, medical protocols, and agency policies applicable to the individualQualificationsWe are looking for candidates who are:At least 18 years oldCompassionate, patient, dependable, and professionalComfortable working independently in home and community settingsAble to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and the Ameriwell Care teamWilling to complete all required NJ DDD training and background-clearance requirementsExperienced working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred, but qualified candidates with the right attitude are encouraged to applyA valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required depending on the assignmentWhy Join Ameriwell Care?At Ameriwell Care, we believe great support starts with great DSPs.
