Data Engineer
Overview
As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and architectures to support analytics and reporting across the enterprise. You will partner with analytics teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements, develop scalable ETL solutions, and improve data quality and performance. You’ll develop data models, warehouses, and visualizations that drive customer insights and operational efficiency. This role offers exposure to modern data platforms and a collaborative, inclusive culture. You will contribute to a mission of reliable, hometown energy service while working with cross-functional teams to scale data solutions.

ResponsibilitiesGather requirements from Data Architects and stakeholders and set project timelinesIngest, cleanse, and prepare large datasets from multiple sources for enhancementsDesign and develop scalable data pipelines with IT teams and business partnersCreate data visualizations and reporting to support key metrics and insightsAutomate data preparation, improve quality, and optimize performancePrepare technical documentation and project artifactsProvide guidance for design, testing, and implementation activitiesSupport incident management and production support for existing solutions
Key requirementsTwo or more years of data or software engineering experienceKnowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologiesUnderstanding of database concepts, data modeling, warehousing, and data structuresExperience with data testing and quality assuranceAbility to collaborate with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teamsStrong communication and stakeholder interaction skillsExperience with data architecture/design and ETL conceptsstrong communicationcollaborationproblem-solvingDatabricks technologies (Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog, Workflows)Structured StreamingLakehouse Architecture
