Our client is one of the world's largest investment management companies, managing close to $2 trillion in assets and headquartered in Southern California. As a Luxoft DXC Nasdaq Partner, we are engaged in a full-scale technology upgrade and are looking for a Senior Scala / Java Developer to join the team at the client's offices in Irvine, CA.This is a hands-on engineering role where you will be working directly with the client, contributing to a large-scale modernization of their core technology platform across one of the most complex and demanding environments in the investment management industry.
What you'll be doing:
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable backend solutions into production
- Participate in client meetings and translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Produce detailed technical documentation and accurate effort estimations
- Conduct peer code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the full delivery lifecycle
- Take ownership of your deliverables from development through to production
- Must have 5+ years with Scala and Java (Java 1.4 to 1.6 server-side development)5+ years with multithreading and collections 5+ years with Spring Framework 2+ years with Hibernate 2+ years with JMS (Java Message Service)2+ years with OSGiNice to haveC# experience
