Image Processing Engineer, Staff - Orlando, FL

Basic Qualifications BS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar STEM degree. Candidate should be fluent in MATLAB, python, and c++ Candidate should have experience solving problems and relevant algorithm development experience in the related areas mentioned below: resolved and unresolved target detection image processing low signature target detection & automatic target recognition / identification, image correction algorithms, scene generation, & non-uniformity correction hyperspectral image processing techniques The candidate should have been exposed to electro-optic phenomenology and optical system analysis as it applies to image/signal processing and/or general knowledge of detection and image tracking technologies. Have experience implementing and debugging image processing algorithms running in a real-time environment and experience processing instrumented real-time system data. Your Mission is Ours.We are seeking an experienced Image Processing (IP) Engineer who will join a highly skilled team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers supporting various contracts and IRADs within Missiles and Fire Control.What You Will Be DoingIP Engineer tasks include: Design, develop, and deploy embedded algorithms that support unresolved (point-source) and resolved target detection and tracking Develop, verify, and validate both complex models and simulations that utilize match filters, convolutional neural networks, and other such techniques to detect targets of interest. Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities that support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) activities Opportunities will exist to join small teams of engineers and algorithm developers on a variety of different programs that are in various stages of product development.
