Chico State Enterprises (CSE) provides specialized business services to support Chico State University’s
innovative research programs, community partnerships, entrepreneurial projects and other education-
related activities. Funded by public and private grants, contracts and gifts, CSE is a rapidly expanding
organization with annual revenues of $79 million supporting 2000 full and part-time faculty, students,
and staff. We are seeking a highly collaborative individual with strong interpersonal skills to join the
dynamic Sponsored Projects Team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under general supervision, serve as a member of a team of professionals
to assist in daily transaction processing and tracking pertaining to the fiscal and general administrative
management of grants, contracts, gifts and other discretionary funds. The position exercises
independent judgment and discretion in assisting faculty, project directors, and staff in providing
assistance and addressing questions and issues.
Exercise a high level of excellent customer service and communication skills in facilitating
business with CSE and operating within a fast-paced environment.
Utilizing CSE business enterprise software, assist CSE Program Analysts, project directors
and/or their staff with the preparation and/or review of documentation required for daily
business transactions including check requests, procurements, P-Card activity, travel, and
HR activity. Track services and transactions to ensure processing is smooth and timely.
Coordinate with other administrative units to assist project directors with timely and
compliant transaction processing. Interpret and apply CSE and campus policies and
procedures.
Secure and maintain documentation for audits.
With supervisor approval, participate in ongoing professional development.
Other duties as assigned.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
Requires two years of related work experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the
functions described above.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
General knowledge of financial record keeping, basic accounting principles, accounts
payable and receivable,
proficiency with the use of spreadsheets, and familiarity with the use of automated
accounting systems and other computer applications.
This position requires the ability to work independently with only general supervision,
exercise judgment and work well with others on and off the campus.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively as a member of a team
in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with Microsoft Office software.
COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for
employment. Chico State Enterprises will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be
rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the
candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the
background check may affect the continued employment of a current Chico State Enterprises
employee who was conditionally offered the position.

Benefits for employees working 30 hours or more per week include employer paid life insurance
