About The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Engineering Manager to lead and develop the Electronic Engineering discipline in alignment with product market requirements and the company’s long-term business objectives.The successful candidate will be responsible for driving engineering excellence across product design, development, systems engineering, and technology advancement. This role requires a strong leader who can establish engineering best practices, develop high-performing teams, improve processes, and ensure the delivery of innovative, high-quality electronic products.The Engineering Manager will play a key role in shaping future technologies, improving product development efficiency, and ensuring the organisation remains competitive within the engineering and technology landscape.Qualifications And ExperienceMinimum BEng in Electronic Engineering and/or B.Eng Engineering ManagementManagement training or equivalent qualification would be advantageousPrevious experience managing an electronic engineering discipline team or technical team Key Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of electronic design principles, production methods, techniques, procedures, and equipmentExperience in the technical management of electronic product design and related engineering support functionsKnowledge of resource allocation, and people managementStrong understanding of Electronic Engineering and Technology within multidisciplinary product development and manufacturing environmentsKnowledge of firmware and electronics development lifecyclesKnowledge of business and operational management principlesKey Responsibilities Process ownership and Engineering excellence Capability establishment and resource planning People leadership and team developmentOur recruitment values:HENSOLDT South Africa focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion in our organizational strategy.
