Job Description:Overseeing all aspects of occupational safety management at assigned profit centersImplementation and adherence of safety policies and programsPreparing reports and recommending procedures to improve organizational performanceOverseeing the integrity and quality of all Sunbelt Rentals safety protocols at individual branchesConducting PC safety compliance inspections and auditsProviding training and guidance to Safety Coordinators in each BranchIdentifying deficiencies found during inspections; providing written evaluation of inspection with corrective action requirementsTracking and trending Regions and Branches to identify adherence to the Sunbelt Rentals Leading Indicator ProgramDeveloping an annual strategic SH&E Business PlanLeading monthly Safety Coordinator Call for all Coordinators in the regionDeveloping agenda for and leading the annual Safety Coordinator Boot CampSupporting PCM and Safety Coordinator in investigations of incidents and near-missesRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 5 years working with Safety, Health and Environmental Management Systems and implementation of safety programsPreferred Safety Certification - OHST, CHST, SMS, GSPGood written and verbal skills when addressing either individuals or groupsAbility to present information in classroom or conference call settingsAbility to develop and execute a strategic plan with measurable goals based on leading and lagging indicator performanceAn observable positive attitudeAbility to track and trend performance of multiple locations based on incident data obtained through internal tracking mechanismsDependable, motivated, and self-starterAbility to multi-task and be highly organizedCustomer-service orientedAbility and willingness to travel; overnight travel requiredA general overview of OSHA construction and general industry regulation knowledgeWorking knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safetyAn ability to foster credibility with PC Supervisors, Safety Coordinators, and PCMsProficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPointBenefits:Health, Dental and Vision plans401(k) MatchVolunteer time offShort-term and long-term disabilityAccident, Life and Travel insurance, as well as flexible spendingTuition Reimbursement OptionsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Length of Service Awards12-25 vacation days depending on years of service5 sick days6 holidays2 half day holidays2 floating holidays1 inclusion day1 volunteer day
