Procurement AssociateLocation: Los Angeles - 4x/week onsite: 1 day remoteContract: 1 year contract with potential extension OR conversionOpenings: 1Pay Rate: $30/hr - $33/hrOverviewWe are an Investment Management firm seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Associate with 2–3 years of experience to support sourcing, contracting, and vendor management activities across the organization. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders, Legal, and Finance to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services while maintaining compliance, efficiency, and strong supplier relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Head of Sourcing & Procurement in commercial negotiations for Statements of Work (SOWs), MSAs, and SaaS agreements across categories including Technology, Data Management, and Business OperationsManage end-to-end procurement activities including requisitions, purchase orders, supplier onboarding, and contract coordinationLead and support vendor pricing, terms, and service-level negotiations to achieve cost savings and cost avoidance targetsAssist in developing and executing category-level sourcing strategies, including spend analysis, market research, and supplier evaluationPartner with cross-functional teams to conduct needs analysis, RFI/RFP development, and competitive assessments to drive best-value sourcing decisionsCoordinate contract redlines with Legal and manage revisions, amendments, and renewalsPerform cost and spend analyses using historical and forecasted demand to support data-driven negotiationsTrack and manage supplier performance; resolve issues related to pricing, delivery, or service qualityMaintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation within ERP/procurement systemsSupport global procurement initiatives aimed at standardizing processes, improving efficiency, and delivering value to stakeholdersAssist with audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement functionRequired Qualifications2-3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management, preferably in a global or regulated environmentBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Proven experience negotiating contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with a variety of suppliersWorking knowledge of procurement systems and ERP platforms (e.g., Coupa, Ariba, SAP, Oracle, or similar)Strong understanding of sourcing methodologies, contract management, and supplier relationship managementAbility to analyze financial and spend data to support sourcing and procurement decisionsGeneral knowledge of legal and contracting requirementsProfessional Skills & CompetenciesStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organizationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesCollaborative team player with experience working cross-functionallyHigh attention to detail with a process-oriented mindsetPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting indirect procurement categories (Technology, Professional Services, SaaS, etc.)Exposure to cost optimization, spend analytics, or category management initiativesExperience in a fast-paced, multi-vendor environment
