Molding Utility TechnicianCardinal Staffing Services is immediately hiring for experienced Molding Utility Technicians for an established client located in Defiance, OH. The Molding Utility Technician will support production operations by performing mold setting, machine setup, and a variety of general labor tasks across the manufacturing floor to ensure efficient and continuous production. This position will work closely with the molding department to set and pull molds, prepare molding machines for production, and assist with material handling and quality checks while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire.Shifts Available: This company operates on a 12-hour shift schedule and offers both Day Shift and Night Shift opportunities. Training will be conducted on a 1st shift schedule starting out.Responsibilities of the Molding Utility Technician:Operate Injection Molding Machines and Blow Molding Machines while assisting with mold setting and changeovers to support production schedules.Perform machine setup including connecting water lines, knockout bars, hydraulic and air lines, hoppers, conveyors, and other auxiliary equipment required for production.Properly handle molds, tooling, materials, and finished products while maintaining accurate production logs and performing quality checks.Assist with raw material changes, inventory handling, and general material handler responsibilities as needed.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while contributing to efficient mold changes and overall production uptime.Preferred Qualifications of the Molding Utility Technician:2+ years of mold setting experience preferred. Knowledge of plastic materials, mold construction, and molding processes. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand and power tools. Basic computer skills and ability to operate press HMI systems. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. High school diploma or GED required (relevant experience may be considered).
