Armed Security Officer

What: Armed Security ( level III,IV) Viking EPS is an Equal Opportunity Employer Where: Austin, Tx. Compensation: $25.00 Level III, $27 level IV Potential hours up to 40 per week, but fluctuates. When: Immediate start, must pass background check How: Must have a current Armed Security License (Level III or Level IV) with the state of Texas and registered in TOPS at least 2 years. Must have a high school diploma. 3 years of experience as Armed security. Former law enforcement, military or corrections background is a plus. Requirements: High School diploma is required Armed Guard Card ( level III or IV) is required with the state of Texas Valid Driver’s License Reliable Vehicle Clean Criminal background Registered in TOPS at least 2 years Must have your own gun and equipment such as weapon, duty belt, flashlight, handcuffs, gloves, baton, outer carrier vest with plates(not mandatory), taser (only if certified) must provide certificate. Responsibilities: Serve as a highly visible deterrent to crime, protecting life and property. Protect staff from assaults. Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned locations, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Make periodic patrols to check for irregularities Assist employees in case of emergencies Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons. Warn violators of rule infractions Situational awareness Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises. Skills: Proven experience as Armed security officer or guard Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety Familiarity with report writing Excellent surveillance and observation skills Customer Service Skills Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense Communication skill verbal and written Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Expected hours: No more than 40 per week Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 12 – 36 per week Schedule: 12 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Night shift Weekends as needed Experience: Armed Security: 3 years (Required) License/Certification: Armed Security License with the state of Texas (Required) Ability to Commute: Austin, TX 78759 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Austin, TX 78759: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
