Sales & Operations Planning Superintendent
The Sales & Operations Planning Superintendent will oversee all supply chain functions for the Siding & Trim group including Production Planning, Inventory Control, Procurement, and Logistics to improve productivity and efficiency and reduce costs while securing high quality material for the business. The Superintendent will work with Operations, Sales, and Customer Service to deliver optimal business solutions.Duties and ResponsibilitiesMay include, but are not limited to, the following:Leads S&OP process for the business including monthly updates and reviews.Helps create the company's supply chain strategy and drive implementationHelps provide oversight of the business' digital systems as it relates to supply chain and logistics.Analyzes data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issuesEvaluates and report on KPIsMonitors logistics to make sure they run smoothlyMaintains supply chain inventory and recordsTrains and guides employeesFinds cost-effective solutions for supply chain processesCollaborates with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growthResolves issues that come up (i.e. raw material supply, delays in delivery, etc.)Develops and implements safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (i.e. forklifts, warehousing, etc.)Ensures supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standardsCommunicates and negotiates with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable dealsComplies with company policy and proceduresMaintains constructive working relationships with co-workers and supervisors/managersMaintain regular attendance in accordance with company policyPerforms all other duties as assignedEducation, Experience and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field10-15 years of experience in supply chain management5-7 years of experience in managing teamsExcellent knowledge of supply chain processesWorking experience of relevant software (i.e. JD Edwards, SAP, etc.)To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Advanced Level Excel preferred.CommunicationEffectively communicate with all levels of employment both verbally and in writing. Interpersonal skills are also required.
