Located in Mitchell, NE, this contract opportunity calls for a skilled Radiation Therapist to support radiation oncology procedures under the guidance of a radiation oncologist. The role requires a dedicated professional capable of delivering high-quality patient care while efficiently managing treatment documentation and departmental duties.Responsibilities:Administer prescribed radiation oncology treatments and ensure accurate, timely recording of patient treatment delivery.Provide compassionate, professional patient care using effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues.Assist with ancillary functions, including processing films, supporting darkroom operations, and managing telephone communications.Facilitate patient transportation within the department and maintain supply levels by restocking and notifying when orders are needed.Uphold a safe, clean, and organized workplace environment to ensure optimal patient and staff safety.Qualifications/Desired Experience:Proven experience as a Radiation Therapist with solid clinical skills in radiation oncology.Strong communication abilities for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.Ability to handle ancillary duties, including technical film processing and departmental logistics.Commitment to maintaining safety standards and professional work environment.Flexibility to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with some days requiring an early start of 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.Location Insights: Mitchell, NE, offers a welcoming small-town atmosphere with the convenience of accessible healthcare services.
