This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to work in a collaborative, hands-on environment where you'll have direct exposure to manufacturing, production, and engineering.If you're looking to build a broad engineering skill set while working alongside experienced professionals who enjoy mentoring and developing their team, this role offers an outstanding opportunity for long-term career growth.Why Consider This Opportunity?Join a stable, family-oriented manufacturer with more than 70 years of success serving a diverse customer base.Work on a wide variety of custom projects across industries including aerospace, medical, industrial, defense, and automotive.Gain exposure to every stage of the manufacturing process—from customer drawings and engineering reviews through fabrication, welding, assembly, and production support.Enjoy a highly collaborative engineering environment where you'll work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and Production on a daily basis.Build a broad engineering skill set while developing expertise in Design for Manufacturing, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement.Excellent opportunity to grow into a Senior Mechanical Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer while taking on increasing project ownership and technical responsibility.What You'll Be Doing:Create and revise 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation.Review customer drawings and designs to ensure they can be efficiently manufactured using metal stamping, fabrication, welding, and assembly processes.Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to improve manufacturability, quality, and production efficiency.Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering change documentation, and product records.Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Production, Tooling, and Quality teams to support new product introductions and ongoing production.Provide engineering support on the manufacturing floor by helping resolve production issues and implementing practical design improvements.Participate in prototype development, first article builds, and engineering validation activities.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing cost, improving quality, and increasing manufacturing efficiency.Communicate directly with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure engineering requirements are successfully translated into production.What We're Looking For:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.Experience with SolidWorks or another 3D CAD platform.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing documentation.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, welding, machining, or metal stamping is highly preferred.Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Someone who enjoys collaborating with production, solving manufacturing challenges, and continuously expanding their technical knowledge.
