This includes ensuring that shipments are handled efficiently and effectively, maintaining compliance with all regulations, and providing excellent customer service.Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operations of the Cruise team, including assigning work, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policiesProvide guidance and support to team members, serving as a mentor and coach to help develop their skills and knowledgeManage customer relationships, including handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfactionCoordinate with other departments and teams, including export teams, customs brokers, and transportation providers, to ensure seamless operationsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and other partners to ensure high-quality service and competitive pricingEnsure timely and accurate documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and other required documentationMonitor industry trends and developments, and make recommendations for process improvements and cost savingsCommunicate with management and other stakeholders on a regular basis to provide updates on team performance, customer issues, and other relevant informationEducational background / Work experienceBachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred, but not required5 years of experience in ocean and or air export is preferredPrior experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferredPrior experience in handling shipments for cruise lines and/or marine logistics is preferredSkills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of ocean and air export regulations, procedures, and documentation requirementsExcellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslyStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, customers, and partnersAbility to analyze data and make informed decisions based on that dataFunction / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / ProcessesSupervisory Responsibilities (if any)* The Senior Team Lead of Cruise will be responsible for overseeing the work of the Cruise team, which may include supervising team members and coordinating with other departments and teams.Preferred QualificationsCertification in logistics or supply chain management is preferredPrior experience working with ocean and air carriers, customs brokers, and transportation providers is a plusUnderstanding of Cruise line supply chain processes, port operations, and turnaround time requirementsLanguage skills* Fluent in English (oral and written)Computer Literacy* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required* Experience with industry-specific software, such as CargoWise, is a plusAt Will EmploymentDSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as "at will" employees.
