Founded in 2019, Swift supports Civilian, Defense, and Intelligence Community customers across the country and around the globe.Swift is looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join a dynamic modernization program in Herndon, VA involving direct support to the mission; collaboration with application development, full stack software engineering, tier 3 and 4 teams; and the update of all applications and tech stacks.ResponsibilitiesProvides guidance to all phases of the software development lifecycleAnalyzes user / business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needsCreates advanced models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an applicationProvides analysis for reports on software project specifications, activities, or statusGuide and mentor more junior analystsConsult across multiple programs and/or contracts within a divisionRequirements11+ years of full stack software engineering experienceProficiency with AngularProficiency with JavaWilling to develop and implement solutions in a dispersed team environmentExperience working on a Scrum team supporting Lean Agile FrameworkExperience conducting routine quality assurance (QA) activities such as peer reviewsExperience with Git and JenkinsDemonstrated experience with webservice design and developmentExperience with continuous integration / continuous development (CI/CD), test automation, and DevOpsFamiliar with Linux environmentsExperience translating system requirements from both formal and informal requirements into complex application interfacesKnowledge of Java Database Connectivity (JDBC), Open Database Connectivity (ODBC), or direct database interfaces US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required Desired ExperienceExperience implementing microservices (preferably micro frontend)Government customer architecture / engineering board experienceExperience implementing AWS cloud solutionsExperience with automated CI/CD pipelinesExperience with distributed data architecturesExperience discussing technical topics with non-technical peoplePuppet module development Terraform developmentRemains up to date in industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills Hands-on experience with Web Services (REST and SOAP)Familiar with AWS services and working in an AWS environmentDo you know anyone for this position, or other positions open at The Swift Group?
