Packaging Associate

Position Summary The Packaging Associate is responsible for packaging, labeling, inspecting, and preparing cannabis-infused products for distribution. This role supports daily manufacturing operations by ensuring finished products meet Emerald Cannabis quality standards, regulatory requirements, and production schedules. Packaging Associates work closely with the Manufacturing Planning Manager and Senior Kitchen Managers to efficiently package a variety of infused products including baked goods, gummies, caramels, beverages, and other edible cannabis products. This position offers flexible scheduling based on production demands and is ideal for dependable individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Package infused cannabis products according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Accurately weigh, count, label, seal, and prepare finished goods for distribution Assemble packaging components including labels, cartons, shrink sleeves, and other packaging materials Inspect products for quality, consistency, appearance, and regulatory compliance before packaging Maintain accurate production counts and immediately report discrepancies or quality concerns Meet daily production and packaging goals established by manufacturing leadership Follow all Colorado MED regulations, company SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation procedures, and food safety standards Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary production workspace Identify equipment issues, packaging shortages, or process improvements and communicate them to supervisors Safely handle finished products and packaging materials while minimizing waste Cross-train in additional production and packaging functions to support changing business needs Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned Performance Expectations Success in this role is measured by: Consistent accuracy and attention to detail Meeting daily production and packaging goals Maintaining compliance with all company and MED requirements Producing high-quality finished products with minimal waste Dependability, punctuality, and flexibility Maintaining a clean and organized work environment Supporting teammates and contributing to an efficient manufacturing operation Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous packaging, food production, manufacturing, or warehouse experience preferred Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus but not required Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Reliable attendance and willingness to work a flexible schedule based on production needs Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy Basic math skills for weighing, counting, and recording production information Effective communication and teamwork skills Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and quality Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Frequently lift and move up to 40 pounds Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive hand movements Ability to work in a production environment with varying temperatures and manufacturing equipment Licenses & Certifications Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Colorado MED Occupational Badge.
