Resource Teacher - CCEIS - Comprehensive Support Team (INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY)

Job DescriptionProvide professional guidance and coaching to school-based staff and ensure the coordination of the appropriate resources in the identified schools to address areas of disproportionality. Work with multiple schools and the central office to support students. Support schools in building capacity to meet the needs of all learners while ensuring that all initiatives support the system-wide goals identified in the strategic plan. Performs other duties as assigned.ResponsibilitiesAssists in collaboration with district and school leaders to rate and align Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervention Support (CCEIS) action plan resources, interventions, strategies, and initiatives in significant ways that support positive student outcomes.Assists in the plans and executes professional development to increase awareness of the root causes of disproportionality and provide strategies and interventions that will promote a positive culture and climate in the identified schools.Supports activities that include focused observation and feedback, researched-based instructional and behavioral modeling, and coaching to implement behavioral interventions.Provides coaching and serves as a resource to support the use of research-based interventions related to behavior, academics and/or social emotional learning strategies by using best practices.Supports administrators, teachers, and other school staff in identifying root causes of disproportionality and promotes ways to meet students' social and emotional needs.Provides resources and support in Tiered Interventions and Supports.Assists in collaboration with central office staff to support the utilization of district resources. Attends required coaching, team and school meetings, and professional development.Monitoring and ensuring alignment of work with the annual CCEIS corrective action plan.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation, Training and Experience:Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Three years of successful teaching experience.Leadership/management experience in PreK-12 public educational setting preferred. Experience in math or ELA, early childhood, elementary, or secondary preferred.Master’s degree preferred.Licenses And CertificatesPossession of a Maryland Educator Professional Certificate appropriate to the area of assignment.ORPossession of, or eligibility for, a Maryland Educator Professional License appropriate to the area of assignment.Possession of a Maryland Educator Advanced Professional Certificate or Advanced Professional License is preferred.Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesDemonstration of outstanding oral and written communication skills.Demonstration of expertise and experience in assessment/data analysis and instruction ages three through 21.Demonstration of strong human relations, communication, and organizational skills.Demonstration of strong computer/technology skills.Physical And Environmental ConditionsThe work of this class is generally performed both in school and office environments. Travel to schools throughout Baltimore County is required.Work includes the operation of office equipment, computers, and assistive technology devices.Limited physical activities may be required.Work schedules may include nights and weekends and will require occasional work beyond the normally scheduled hours.Conditions Of EmploymentThis is a grant funded position, contingent upon annual renewal. The fee charged for fingerprinting is $109. Anyone offered employment is required to provide proper identification and documentation of eligibility for employment in the US. If you have military experience, you will be asked to provide a copy of DD214. Official transcripts will be required upon hire and must be sent via e-script/clearinghouse from your university.
