Collections Specialist

Title: Collections Specialist Location: 100% Remote Duration: 6+ Contract Compensation: $22.00- $24.00Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the USMon- Fri 8am- 5pm Weekly Pay!!! Retail Energy or Utilities experience SAP/CCS experienceThis position is part of Retail Services Group and is responsible for performing collection activity on retail small business, commercial, and industrial electric service accounts. Reviews and analyzes accounts for payment and prioritizes for contact. Researches issues related to customer disputes and payment posting issues.Duties/ResponsibilitiesMonitor aging reports for delinquent accountsContact customers by telephone, email, or US Mail to facilitate payment of delinquent accountsAnalyze and resolve customer account disputesCarry out the established program for the follow up and collection of accounts receivableCommunicate requests with management for special situations that are outside of standard policies and procedureConduct skip tracing when contact information is not availableNegotiate payment plansAnalyze accounts to determine if service disconnection is warranted based on Texas PUC rulesAnalyze accounts to determine if balance transfer is warrantedDocument customer accounts within company systems describing customer interaction and collection effortsProcess credit card and bank draft paymentsEducationBachelor's degree in business or related area from accredited four-year university is preferredExperience may substitute for college education, in which case a high school diploma or equivalent is requiredExperience2 years business experience6 months Collections experience combined with SAP/CCS experience can substitute for 2 years of business experienceKnowledge of the utility and/or deregulated energy industry is a plusSpecial Skills/Knowledge RequirementsAbility to work effectively both independently and with teams.Excellent problem solving skills and ability to use good judgment to make recommendations and decisionsAttention to detail is criticalAbility to work independently through the use of initiative and self-motivation.Ability to adapt to rapidly changing prioritiesAbility to meet deadlinesExcellent personal computer skills within a windows environment, including spreadsheets, databases and word processingAbility to write with proper form and grammar and prepare company correspondenceEffectively communicates to a wide range of audiences in both written and oral formAbility to use fundamental math daily (add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate percentages)Working ConditionsFast paced office environment with high volume workloadFrequent use of computers, i.e. typing on keyboards, viewing monitors, etc.Occasional TravelOvertime as requiredOur benefits package includes:Comprehensive medical benefitsCompetitive pay, 401(k)Retirement plan…and much more!About INSPYR SolutionsTechnology is our focus and quality is our commitment.
