Program Manager – Custom Battery Design & Manufacturing

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Program Manager to lead and coordinate complex
custom battery design and manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate has a strong technical
background in electronics or battery systems, and is equally confident managing schedules, budgets,
customer relationships, and cross-functional teams.
As a Program Manager, you will own the execution of programs from concept through production,
ensuring delivery of high-performance battery solutions that meet customer expectations, technical
requirements, and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
Manage multiple programs concurrently from kickoff to production launch.
Build and track detailed program schedules with milestones, risk assessments, and mitigation
plans.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, aligning requirements, deliverables, and
expectations.
Coordinate internal engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain activities to drive
execution.
Customer & Technical Interface
Translate customer needs into actionable project requirements.
Communicate status updates, risks, and opportunities with internal and external stakeholders.
Lead technical reviews, design change discussions, and program milestone reviews.
Change & Quality Management
Oversee BOM accuracy, revision control, and change tracking through ECN processes.
Support resolution of field and RMA issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with relevant safety and quality standards (UL, IEC, UN38.3, etc.).
Support for Prototyping & Production
Support prototype builds and testing activities.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design-for-manufacturability.
Track supplier and material readiness to ensure program milestones are met.
Strategic Impact
Continuously improve program processes, communication tools, and execution efficiency.
Help shape internal best practices for customer engagement and program health reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field). Master’s or PMP
certification is a plus.
5–7+ years of experience in program management or technical project leadership in a
manufacturing or electronics environment.
Familiarity with battery systems, energy storage, or power electronics strongly preferred.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with proven customer-facing experience.
Proficiency with project tracking tools and documentation (Excel, MS Project, ERP/PLM systems).
