EHS Coordinator
Effingham - Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator helps promote a safe and compliant work environment by supporting employee training, regulatory compliance efforts, incident investigations, and site assessments. This role also assists with insurance claims management, driver qualification files, and drug and alcohol testing programs while helping strengthen the company's overall safety culture.

Reports to Director of EHS
$50,000 - $80,000 annually
Key Responsibilities Must follow all company and personnel policies
Identifies company training needs and develops and coordinates training programs
Provides leadership, direction and technical support to facilities to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations
Assist with management of insurance claims
Conducts incident investigations, determines root causes and provides recommendations for corrective action
Assist with driver qualification files and drug and alcohol testing
Conduct site assessments, submit recommendations and follow up on recommendations
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Leadership Characteristics Bachelor’s degree in safety management or a related field is preferred. Safety background with exposure to agri-business is preferred
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common data
Has a self-motivating personality as well as team-building skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
The nature of the business may require extended hours.
Physical Demands May include lifting objects up to 50 pounds and climbing stairs and ladders.
Travel The employee may be required to travel to other facilities in The Equity trade area, conferences, educational opportunities, and other job-related activities.
