Technician

Job Title: Technician Location: South Plainfield, NJ Type: Contract-to-Hire Compensation: $20–$22/hour Work Model: Onsite Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM TECHNICIAN Description: A fast-growing tech manufacturing facility is seeking an entry-level Technician to join its cleanroom production team. This position supports the MOCVD (Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition) department, helping to operate and maintain precision equipment for semiconductor and photonic device fabrication. Full training is provided. Responsibilities: Operate one or more MOCVD systems under supervision Perform wafer cleaning using standard wet chemical/acid hoods Handle indium phosphide (InP) wafers for reactor loading, unloading, and post-process characterization Maintain SPC charts, process logs, and growth databases Assist engineers with troubleshooting tools and lab support Perform visual inspections and optical microscopy Maintain a clean, safe lab environment in compliance with safety procedures Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Material Sciences required. Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
