Principal Data Security Integration Engineer
Overview
As a Principal Engineer, you will lead the design, build, and operation of enterprise data pipelines for identity and workforce data. You’ll set technical standards, mentor teammates, and incorporate AI-assisted tooling to accelerate engineering. You’ll own end-to-end data lifecycle and partner with leadership to align data initiatives with business goals. This role anchors a critical data platform, driving reliability, scale, and strategic data partnerships across the organization.

ResponsibilitiesLead design and implementation of data ingress/egress pipelines aligned with governance, performance, and reliability standards.Administer and optimize enterprise relational databases (schema design, stored procedures, indexing, performance tuning, capacity planning).Onboard and maintain inbound data feeds from diverse sources (e.g., SailPoint, Workday), defining schemas and validation rules.Develop and maintain applications and services for ingestion workflows and batch processing.Build and maintain API integrations for real-time and scheduled data exchange.Create automation scripts for file transfer, scheduling, orchestration, and monitoring across feeds.Support downstream identity data feeds with timely, schema-compliant delivery.Define and enforce coding standards, data quality controls, and runbooks across integrations.Partner with senior leadership on feed roadmaps and integration priorities.Cultivate partnerships with peer engineering and data teams to improve the platform and anticipate changes.
Key requirementsSix or more years of relevant experience in data engineering or related field.Experience with enterprise relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) including schema design and performance optimization.Hands-on experience with structured data ingestion, validation, and downstream consumption.Scripting for automation and workflow orchestration (PowerShell, Python, Bash).Software development skills (C#, Java, Python) and REST API integration for ETL/ELT data flows.Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot) to speed coding and debugging.Understanding of identity and access management domains and related data feeds.strong communicationproblem solvingcollaboration with stakeholdersSQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQLschema design and stored proceduresbulk load patterns
