In North America, our teams operate with a growth mindset-combining technical excellence, strong customer focus, and a commitment to execution.Position OverviewThe HR Generalist is part of the North American corporate team on-site supporting the Lawrenceville, GA operation. This role works closely with local leaders and employees while partnering with a centralized HR team based in Rochester, NY.This position is designed for an HR professional who is strong in execution, comfortable handling employee-facing issues, and ready to grow into broader leadership responsibility over time. The role supports a primarily service- and sales-driven employee population, with exposure to operational and manufacturing environments.What You'll DoServe as the on-site HR point of contact for the Lawrenceville location, supporting employees and managers across service, sales, operations, and corporate functionsPartner with the Director of HR and the centralized HR team on policies, guidance, and escalated mattersHandle day-to-day employee relations matters, including performance management support, investigations, and corrective actionCoach managers on basic people leadership skills, feedback, and accountabilitySupport full-cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt roles, with a focus on customer-facing and technical positionsAssist with onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes to ensure consistency and positive employee experienceEnsure compliance with federal and state (GA) employment laws and internal company policies; coordinate with HR leadership on multi-state or international considerationsSupport compensation administration, performance reviews, and talent development processesHelp implement HR processes that are practical, consistent, and easy to execute in a service- and sales-oriented environmentWhat You BringSolid HR generalist experience with exposure to employee relations, recruiting, and complianceExperience supporting service and/or sales organizations in a fast-paced environmentComfort working in a growing organization where structure continues to evolveManufacturing or operational exposure is a plus, but not requiredCourage to handle difficult conversations professionally and escalate appropriately when neededStrong judgment, integrity, and follow-throughWillingness to work onsite and engage directly with employees and managersQualificationsRequired4-8 years of progressive HR generalist experienceWorking knowledge of employee relations, performance management, recruiting, and HR complianceExperience supporting service- and/or sales-oriented teams in a fast-paced environmentAbility to handle employee issues with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgmentStrong communication skills and comfort working directly with managers and employeesEnglish proficiencyWillingness to work onsite in Lawrenceville, GAPreferredExperience in a startup, scale-up, or evolving organizationExposure to manufacturing or operational environmentsFamiliarity with multi-state employment considerationsExperience working with an HRIS and standard HR reporting toolsHR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) or equivalent practical experience EducationBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience preferredWhy This Role at Durst / VanguardThis is a strong growth opportunity for an HR professional looking to expand responsibility in a stable, respected organization with a hands-on culture.
