Job DescriptionThe Cardiac Cath/Special Procedures Technologist assists in the preparation and provision of care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and/or radiographic procedures. He/she is responsible for the operation of radiographic equipment as well as able to provide technical assistance (scrub) to the physician during a procedure. He/she may function as a sub-circulator under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.EducationAssociate Degree or 2 years of college courseworkExperienceOne year of related experience. Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.Licenses & CertificationsACLS CertificationRadiologic TechnologistRegistered Cardiovascular Invasive SpecialistQualificationsMust obtain ACLS within one year of hire date.Registered by the ARRT, ARCRT, or CCI(RCIS).
