We’re looking for people who share those values to grow with us.We offer competitive salaries, a suite of health and welfare benefits, PTO and a 401K plan with a match.Compensation - $85,000-$125,000POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Project Engineer supports the Project Manager in delivering the project on time and within budget. Serving as the primary liaison between the Project Manager, Design Team, and Owner, the Project Engineer manages the full lifecycle of project documentation—including plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and O&M manuals. Additionally, they are responsible for tracking, reviewing, and negotiating project change orders to ensure financial and operational integrity.REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field2+ years' in field and project planning experience.Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software.Ability to comprehend architectural and structural drawings.Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.Excellent project management and supervision skills.Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Interpret project plans and specifications.Maintain control of all project documentation and records.Create, manage and track field RFI’s to the Architect/Engineer of record.Assist Project Manager/Superintendent in creating and distributing the project schedule.Assist project team with conflict resolution between Owner, contractor and subcontractor.Oversees the submission and tracking of all subcontractor submittals to the A/E team for technical review and approval across all scopes of workAnswer questions from field personnel.Assist Project Manager/Owner in obtaining building permits.Coordinate project change order management, creation, negotiation between Project Manager and Owner.Assists the project team with site safety documentation and coordination.Assist the project team with documenting job progress, schedule.Create and distribute project closeout material, O and M manuals to the owner.Assist the project team with closeout of the project.Assist Project Accountant with monthly subcontractor billings and pay applications.Any other duty as assigned by the Project Manager or Kavanagh Construction.COMPETENCIESAnalytical thinking, conceptual thinking, detail oriented, project management and communication.
