CookLocation: Westminster, MDPay Rate: $21.00 per hourShift: 11:30 AM - 8:30 PMSchedule: Every other weekend requiredReports To: Director of Food ServicesJob OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and dependable Cook to join our Food Services team in Westminster, MD. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality, nutritious meals in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures. The ideal candidate takes pride in meal preparation, food safety, and supporting resident care through excellent service.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and therapeutic dietsEnsure all food is prepared safely, properly portioned, and served in a timely mannerMaintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and storage areasAdhere to all food safety, infection control, and sanitation guidelinesAssist with inventory management, stocking, and meal service as neededCollaborate with dietary leadership and other departments to support overall resident careQualificationsEducation:Minimum of a 10th-grade education requiredExperience:One (1) year of cooking or dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or healthcare setting preferred, but not requiredSkills & Abilities:Ability to prepare a variety of foods in large quantitiesKnowledge of dietary procedures and food safety standardsAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsStrong interpersonal and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently and make sound decisions when necessaryLeadership ability and willingness to work cooperatively with othersWhy Join Us?This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive healthcare environment where your skills directly impact resident satisfaction and well-being.
