More openings to come as we continue to grow the team!Please read below for a brilliant career opportunity.Role: Security Engineer – Application Security & Code Scanning Title: AVPLocation: Alpharetta, GA(Day 1 Onsite/Hybrid) – FulltimeMode of Work: 3 days/week onsite requiredRequired Experience: 5+ yearsRole Overview The Security Engineer will support the organization’s application‑security and code‑scanning program, focusing on GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS), CodeQL, secrets‑scanning configuration, repository onboarding, and secure development governance. The role ensures consistent scanning configurations, strong code‑security hygiene, and alignment with enterprise SDLC and security‑control requirements.Key Responsibilities GitHub / CodeQL Security ConfigurationConfigure and maintain GHAS security settings at the organization level, including CodeQL analysis, secrets scanning, and related security policies.Establish and maintain configuration baselines; track and reduce legacy technical debt associated with existing GitHub configurations.Track and report exceptions granted for releases containing critical findings pushed to production.Repository Migration & Integration Lead the migration of 20–30 code repositories into the firm’s GitHub tenant.Ensure all migrated projects are onboarded into standard tooling, including CodeQL pipelines, secrets scanning, and governance controls.Manage exception reporting for critical findings requiring temporary approval.Secure SDLC & GovernancePartner with engineering teams to ensure secure‑by‑design principles are embedded into development workflows.Support adoption of standardized scanning configurations and secure coding practices across development teams.Provide guidance on remediation strategies for critical and high‑risk findings.Qualifications 5 years of experience in application security, DevSecOps, or cloud security engineering.Strong hands‑on experience with GitHub, GHAS, CodeQL, and secrets‑scanning tools.Experience migrating repositories across GitHub organizations or tenants.Familiarity with enterprise SDLC processes and security governance frameworks.Strong communication skills and ability to work with engineering, product, and security leadership.Benefits:Healthcare insurance for you and your family (medical, dental, vision).Short / Long term disability insurance.Life Insurance.Accidental death & disability Insurance.401K.3 weeks of Paid Time Off.Support and fee coverage for immigration needs.Remote office set up stipend.Support for industry certifications.Additional cash incentives.Re-skilling opportunities to transition between technologies.Schedule: Monday to FridayWork Mode: HybridJob Type: Full-timeWe are: A high end technical consulting firm built and run by highly qualified technologists.
