In this role, the Carpenter Foreman will oversee production, quality, and safety under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent. The Foreman will play an essential role in ensuring the successful completion of all work by providing hands-on support and guidance to the team. This includes assisting in training apprentices, journeymen, and other field personnel to ensure all tasks are performed safely and with high quality.Primary ResponsibilitiesUnderstands how the Carpenter interacts with a Laborer during the tank building process and can direct the work as requiredEstablishes crews, assigns responsibilities and follows through on assigned work to meet the project timelineReads and interprets tank drawings and construction information package to ensure work is performed according to specificationsInventories material upon delivery to ensure components comply with the contract drawings prior to signatureInvolved in daily closeout meetings with the Superintendent providing an update on the day’s activities and needs for the following day. Follows quality control (QC) program, understands construction tolerances, and reports any quality defects immediatelyChecks and confirms elevation grades and plumbness on critical tank components. Follows and upholds safety procedures and understands DN Tanks safety policiesIdentifies hazards, takes action to correct them, and is responsible for recognizing those who do the same in accordance with the Award of Excellence (AOE) ProgramPromotes clean, safe work practices by watching over other employees while performing work. Provide coaching and training while motivating the team to produce quality work and ensure all safety standards are met with all individuals on the project. Maintain all certifications in compliance with DN Tanks Safety & Equipment Programs. Performs all jobsite layout utilizing survey equipment under direction of the Superintendent. Supports the training program by working closely with other traveling tank builders and utilizing all resources available in DN UniversityQualificationsOperate and maintain DN Tanks tools and equipmentAbility to travel to project sites throughout the United States at the direction of the Field Operations ManagerAbility to climb and perform tasks at heights on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, shoring, and scaffoldsAbility to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etcAbility to complete DN Tanks crane certificationDN is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
