Job Summary Genesis Cabling Solutions is seeking a Business Development / Outside Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts and drive company growth. This role will be responsible for developing new opportunities, strengthening existing relationships, and identifying new industries and markets to expand our reach. You’ll serve as the face of Genesis Cabling Solutions—actively engaging general contractors, developers, procurement managers, and owners through site visits, networking, and strategic relationship management. You’ll be the liaison between the client and our management team to develop deeper relationships. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, developers, procurement managers and business owners to secure new projects and service work. Cold call, visit, and network with key decision-makers to generate new business opportunities. Manage and expand existing client relationships to ensure continued satisfaction and repeat business. Attend industry events, networking functions, and trade shows to promote Genesis Cabling Solutions. Identify and pursue new market verticals such as healthcare, education, industrial, plants, hospitality, and commercial developments. Collaborate as needed with internal teams to prepare proposals, bids, and presentations. Track opportunities, leads, and client interactions in CRM tools. Help strengthen Genesis Cabling’s brand recognition and visibility. Work with management to develop and implement the Sales Program for Genesis Cabling Solutions. Travel: Primarily within the Greater Houston Area with occasional regional or out-of-town trips. Qualifications Proven track record of success in B2B outside sales or business development, preferably within low-voltage, electrical, AV, or security sectors. Strong existing relationships with Houston-area general contractors, procurement managers and other decision makers are a plus. Self-motivated and results-driven, with excellent communication and follow-up skills. Some familiarity with construction bidding and project documentation processes. Ability to manage multiple opportunities and maintain detailed activity records. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
