Areas within University Communications and Marketing include Web Planning and Production, Internal Communications, Digital Production, Executive Communications, Strategic Communication, Marketing, Social Media, Creative Services, and the UNC Visitors Center.Position SummaryUNC-Chapel Hill’s University Communications and Marketing department is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist. This is a perfect position for a seasoned communications professional with experience in planning and implementing digital marketing campaigns, both in-house and with vendor support.Reporting to the director of marketing strategy, the digital marketing specialist will develop and implement paid social media campaigns, coordinate paid media buys, track pacing and metrics across digital platforms, develop strategic recommendations based on best practices and observed performance, and help measure the impact of our communications efforts with the University’s target audiences.Minimum Education And Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.Required Qualifications, Competencies, And ExperienceDemonstrated experience developing and executing paid social media campaigns on Meta, LinkedIn, and X. Demonstrated experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Business Suite, X and Instagram Analytics to standardize reporting of digital and social media metrics. Knowledge of SEO and AP Style.Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And ExperienceThree years of relevant experience.
